After retiring from competitive skating in 2012 Keiffer continued on at the DSC as a coach, eventually becoming an Associate Resident Coach at the club.
2011 - 2014 Learn to Skate instructor and individual lessons at Lakeland Ice Arena in Waterford, MI
2015 - Present Resident Coach at the Saint Claire Shores Figure Skating Club
Keiffer works with individual students and group lessons on stroking, skating skills, basic skills, moves in the field, ice dance, partnering work, pole harness, choreography, free dances, test track, and competitive skating, off ice training including strength conditioning and stretching. He has experience working with a huge range of skaters, from the youngest toddler learn to skate participants through adult skaters age 60+.
During his time as a successful USFSA Coach at the Detroit Skating Club, Lakeland Ice Arena and Saint Claire Shores Figure Skating Clubs, Keiffer has integrated himself enthusiastically into the skating community by participating in seasonal ice shows and camps in various roles such as; choreographing and teaching show numbers to students, participating in staff show numbers, working spotlights during shows and performances, and as a counselor at skating summer camps.
TESTING
Keiffer has helped many students to pass tests through senior moves, gold/international compulsory dance, and senior free dance.
He himself has passed through gold in moves, several international compulsory dances, and senior free dance.
